Follow and contribute to Paladin's "Behind The Scenes" series every Wednesday.
As featured on our blog last month, on December 4, 2012, we hosted the first in a series of events offering a "behind the scenes" look at our Lower Mainland facility in Burnaby.
We invited a number of Vancouver and area based community, business and thought leaders to our Head Office, introducing them to a number of key executives from our team, including Paladin's President & CEO Ashley Cooper, the Ernst & Young 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year (Pacific Region).
On Monday, Stacey Robinsmith - an advocate for public education and blogger at Life In The 'Burbs, who writes about his observations and celebrates customer service winners or losers - described his time at our "top-secret" Paladin HQ and our company's use of QR Codes as an easy way to get people information quickly and easily, especially in a stressful situation.
"An example of this is when you come home from work, it is late, you are tired, the kids are screaming and you are trying balance all the junk you carry in your hands while trying to deactivate the alarm on your house. And then you enter the wrong code even as you open the door. The situation just got that extra bit stressful."
"What do you do now? Well, you can drop everything and try to pull the card out of your wallet and read the instructions about what to do in that situation before the police or your nosy neighbours arrive. Or, you can do what Paladin Security is moving towards; pull out your phone, scan the QR Code and watch the 2 minute video that Paladin has created to help you deactivate the alarm in no time."
"I love it. Creative. Forward thinking. Whatever you want to call it, I see it as helping people get the information they need or, if you are selling something, getting information about your product into the consumers’ eyes AND into the memory of their device so that they can come back to it later."
Thanks for the kind words Stacey, we're glad you like our approach. We're constantly looking for innovative ways to help our clients and customers, and make their lives that little bit easier, so it's always great to hear such positive feedback!
This is just the first in what we hope will become a quarterly event for new community members. If you’re interested in attending in the future, simply drop an email to our Social Media Manager Rachel Healy at email@example.com
