In support of Paladin's Partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society.
Everyone knows someone who has been impacted by Cancer. Throughout Daffodil Month, we are sharing stories of how cancer has impacted the lives of our Paladin Family members.
We are also asking our people what Paladin’s Daffodil Campaign means to them. As a nation-wide company, we hope that these stories inspire others to give back and keep fighting.
Chris van den Berg
Chris has been a proud member of the Paladin Family for five years in Halifax. Chris began his security career in 2000; he helped his company develop from a staff of 35 Security Officers to nearly 150 in only two years. His passion for the industry and quality service for Paladin’s clients is inspiring; it shines through every conversation you have with him. Chris and the Halifax team are very involved in the communities they serve. Their hard work and impact speaks true to Paladin's mission.
Chris's Daffodil Month Story
Ten years ago, Chris lost his father-in-law to leukemia. Chris shared:
The timing of my father-in-law’s battle was tough. Our family was just overcoming a previous loss when the diagnosis was shared. He battled hard, but after only two months, he lost that battle. It was a very difficult time, but the family rallied together and we persevered, holding him close to our hearts always.
Having organizations like the Canadian Cancer Society is so important. Not only do they support research, but they support people and their families through the journey with the disease.
Paladin Security has experienced tragedy within, amongst coworkers, friends, neighbors, and our own families too. Being a part of a company that cares deeply and gives back is an honour. I truly believe that being part of any industry comes with the responsibility of contribution and getting involved. I appreciate how everyone works together and passionately supports the community – it’s the Paladin difference.
Paladin Security’s locations from coast to coast are raising funds through unique events during Daffodil Month. Follow our events online and join our fight against cancer!
