After several years working in the private security industry in Nova Scotia, I moved to Calgary to pursue a career in policing.
While in the recruiting process with Calgary Police Service, Paladin introduced me to the amazing career opportunities within the industry.
I started working as an entry level healthcare Security Officer on the huge Alberta Health Services contract for 14 months. Thanks to the guidance and support of then Client Service Manager Vladimir Batinic, who is now Healthcare Security Director in Alberta and mentors my peers to complete their Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator designation, I was promoted to Zone Supervisor.
I decided to pursue a company-paid certification as a defensive tactics instructor, which led to my participation with Paladin's busy training department and, with the support of Tyson Black, Director of Operations in Caglary & Southern Alberta, I was granted the position of full-time Training Coordinator.
I'm so grateful to everyone for opening so many doors of opportunity for me to excel as a trainer, and for continuing to provide their unwavering support and encouragement.
