COO Don MacAlister presented on the topic of 'Benchmarking Outstanding Cultures: Aligning Culture with Business Goals', alongside MacKay CEO Forum Chair Sue Matheson and Coast Capital CEO Don Coulter.
Don spoke about the Paladin difference, which describes our culture and the synergy between providing the best employee care in the business that creates quality care for our clients, whom we solicit feedback from annually through the ‘Paladin Report Card' in order to consistently measure and improve our services. He also heralded the benefits of Paladin’s popular Employee Resource Centre, which he described as a "one stop shop" for our 7,000+ staff from coast to coast to connect, with service requests measured as one of many Key Performance Indicators to ensure our culture aligns with our business goals.
He commented after the event; "One of the interesting areas of discussion was how do we, as a Most Admired organization, engage, retain and develop our talent? Aside from our industry-leading hiring, training and retention strategies that include superior pay, benefits and reward programs, as thought leaders we are the only company in our industry to actively engage with our employees, customers and the public at large through social media, as demonstrated through our popular #PaladinFamily hashtag on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram."
"Our vast social network," he continued, "which also spans LinkedIn, YouTube and Google+, enables us to connect directly with our communities and differentiates us as the employer of choice in our industry."
