Paladin Security would like to congratulate Emmanuel Agiba on beginning his training with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Previously stationed as a retail Security Officer at Metrotown in Burnaby, Emmanuel began with bike patrol and then progressed to camera work and received training to be an Occupational First Aid. The training and experience provided him with the skills that helped build his confidence on the job. When discussing his position at the Mall, Emmanuel explained that while you may not realize you need the training, you do end up saving many peoples’ lives. The team would receive a lot of calls, and no matter how small, you always make a difference.
Having worked with Concord Security for 9 years, Emmanuel observed an increase in structure after Paladin took over. He was able to use the flexible hours provided by Paladin to help him get through university. At first, Emmanuel was nervous with his situation but with the training provided, he was able to handle whatever came at him with a calm sense of confidence.
Emmanuel enjoyed the exposure provided by Metrotown, finding that he was exposed to more things than police ever were at the site. Additionally, he found that frequent liaisons with the local police helped him to create positive relationships in the community.
Good luck with the RCMP and all of your future endeavors, Emmanuel!
