We are thrilled to announce that Paladin Security Group will be establishing operations in PEI, effective November 1st, with the award of a 4-year contract from Health PEI.
As the largest Canadian owned and operated security company in the country, Paladin will provide security services to PEI's three largest hospitals - Prince County Hospital (PCH), Western Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) in Charlottetown, where we will establish our base of operations for PEI.
QEH is a 247 bed acute care hospital, making it the largest hospital in the province. PCH in Summerside is the second largest with 110 staffed beds, while Western Hospital is located in Alberton.
Paladin Security provides security to well over 200 healthcare facilities in eight provinces coast-to-coast, which includes some of the most well-known hospitals in the country.
Building on our Atlantic Canada successes with the Capital District Health Authority in Nova Scotia and Eastern Health in Newfoundland, we look forward to adapting Canada's leading healthcare program to the culture and practices of PEI.
Paladin COO Don MacAlister stated;
Our hiring efforts are already underway in the communities these hospitals serve. We will be seeking local Islanders with the skills and experience we know are required to provide quality healthcare security services.
We could not be more pleased to be coming to PEI," he added. "It is such a beautiful part of the country and the people are amazing. We're so proud to be able to help create a safe and secure environment there in support of quality care.
