Paladin Security’s head office (Burnaby, BC) staff recently gathered for their annual holiday party. The evening was filled with laughter and great comradery and importantly, our Paladin family came together as they do every year to commemorate someone who was very special: Tamara Jackson.
Tamara first joined Paladin as a Security Officer in 1994 and rose through the ranks due to her commitment to her team, her passion for her job and her outstanding integrity. After nearly 20 years in increasingly responsible roles within the company, her contributions in her final role as Vice President of National Quality Standards Support (NQSS), were far-reaching, and her impact is reflected in all facets of Paladin Security. Sadly, Tamara passed away from cancer in 2014 and it was a tremendous blow to all who knew her, loved her and respected her so much.
Tamara personified The Paladin Difference. She was extremely committed to delivering the very best service to clients, but also showed an unwavering dedication to her team. Tamara was a highly capable security professional, a mentor to countless people, and a beautiful soul. To commemorate her significant contributions and to celebrate her life, Paladin created the Tamara Jackson Memorial Award. This award is given to someone within our company who has shown incredible dedication and integrity in their work and lives the Paladin Difference every day.
This year, the award was presented to Simran Gill, Manager of Operational Excellence. Simran is responsible for ensuring our internal processes and front-line staff are equipped to deliver the highest level of client satisfaction. This is primarily achieved through continually collaborating with department leads and the Client Service team to ensure seamless start-to-finish processes are always in place, providing on-going leadership and training, and overseeing our service delivery is executed in a consistent and customer-centric manner.
Simran originally joined Paladin from the finance industry, however her transition into the Paladin family feels as though she has been with us for many years. Since joining the team, she has exceeded all expectations and has brought a calmness, maturity, attention to detail and positive attitude that makes her a stand out performer and leader.
Chad Kalyk, Executive Vice President:
“Simran is a leader who makes a difference every day. She has an extremely bright future, filled with growth ahead of her. Simply put, we’ve become a better company since she joined the family and I am so excited to congratulate her for wining this year’s Tamara Jackson Memorial Award!”
Congratulations to Simran Gill on this very special achievement!
Paladin is comprised of many talented and selfless people, and we thank them all for their dedication and embodiment of the Paladin Difference.
