The latest group of Business in Vancouver’s Forty Under 40 winners was announced last week and our Executive Vice President of BC & Southern Alberta, Chad Kalyk, is among the acknowledged!
Chad Kalyk celebrated 10 years with Paladin Security in 2016. Over his decade of accolades with the company, he has supported the rapid growth of business with his expertise in client relations and development. Reflecting on his accomplishments and career, Chad shared some of his story:
Looking back at the past decade is incredibly humbling. I was astounded after receiving the news that I had been recognized as a winner of BIV’s 2016 Top Forty Under 40. When I started with Paladin in 2006, I was fresh out of University. The realities of the world were quickly hitting me and therefore I accepted an entry-level role with the goal of simply paying my bills.
At the time, Paladin had just entered the Victoria market and the brand was gaining strength in Western Canada. I unexpectedly found myself immersed within the security industry and as we continued to grow rapidly, I knew I had found my career.
Since that time, I cannot quantify the amount of support I’ve been given. Every day I am presented with opportunities to learn, grow and take on more responsibility. Throughout each opportunity and challenge, I am continuously honoured to be a member of the Paladin Family.
I may have been recognized individually at this time, but I hope that other members of our company see this acknowledgement as a true testament to the hard work and commitment of our teams and our clients. Paladin is a leading organization that is changing the security industry while building great career paths for our people through its promotion from within philosophy. When you are given the opportunity to express your entrepreneurialism and passion for business, you love what you do and you surround yourself with top quality talent, good things happen.
