Kindness Matters. Paladin Security Supports Pink Shirt Day 2016

In 2007, two Nova Scotia students decided to take action after witnessing a younger student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. The students bought 50 pink t-shirts and encouraged schoolmates to wear them and send a powerful message of solidarity to the bully. CKNW Orphans’ Fund was inspired by the story and since 2008, have raised more than $1.2 million for anti-bullying programs with the sales of Pink Shirt Day T-Shirts.

The Paladin culture is one of hard work, support, commitment, and growth. We are firmly committed to a positive, professional, and safe working environment in which all people have the right to be treated with respect and dignity. It is because of our firm commitment to our people that we are excited to support the initiatives of Pink Shirt Day 2016.

Pink Shirt Day teaches us that we are all worthy of kindness, respect and acceptance at home, in school, online, and in the workplace. We are thrilled to be teaming up with incredible organizations like Paladin Security this February 24th to spread kindness and support anti-bullying programs.
- Jen Schaeffers, Executive Director, CKNW Orphans’ Fund
To achieve a truly respectful workplace, cooperation and support from each and every employee in the organization is required. As one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, as well as Employees’ Choice, Top 25 Best Places to Work in Canada, everyone has a responsibility to set a positive example and the Paladin Family does just that. We instill constant communication with employees and provide training to ensure we meet our high standards.

Our employees are at the heart of our success. Through corporate initiatives, training, and the belief in promotion from within, Paladin has created a culture that empowers one another to be the best version of themselves both personally and professionally.

As a national organization, we will continue to support one another and advocate our standards and beliefs to support kindness online, in school, in the workplace, and within our communities at large.

How can you help?
#PinkItForward and post a photo of someone special on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter: a friend, teammate, colleague, family member, classmate or even someone you’ve just met. Add a caption describing why that person is awesome, and instruct them to #PinkItForward! For each effort of kindness using #PinkItForward, Coast Capital Savings will donate $1 to Pink Shirt Day.

Join us in the conversation February 24, 2016 to support anti-bullying programs!
