Branch helps raise $40,000 for Special Olympics Ontario
It has become tradition for our Windsor team to partake in the annual Polar Plunge held at St. Clair College, with its proceeds benefiting Special Olympics Ontario. Several members of our Paladin Family committed to taking the freezing plunge for such a great cause. Having various levels of engagement from front-line, mobile, and management staff truly illustrates our collective commitment to Paladin's philosophy of local community involvement.
This year, our Windsor branch was able to raise $800.00 as their portion to the event total. Windsor Police, Ontario Provincial Police, Windsor Fire and many other groups were in attendance to send local athletes to the upcoming Special Olympics.
Windsor Branch Manager, Jason Lynagh comments on the event,
It was great to become part of the Paladin Windsor tradition and participate in my first plunge this year. Seeing support across all levels of the branch demonstrated that we are committed to Paladin’s philosophy of local community involvement. Raising funds for Special Olympics Ontario will continue to be a yearly event for us and I look forward to seeing more of the team our there next year, #FreezinForAReason!
Operations Manager, Earl Bailey adds,
It was a pleasure to take the plunge alongside our team in Windsor during this year’s Polar Plunge. We couldn’t be happier to do our share in helping raise $40,000 for the Special Olympics as well as show support for our client as St. Clair College.
With the event growing in size each year, Paladin Windsor was a part of 168 ‘Plungers’ who braved the elements and -4C water temperatures as the team was #FreezinForAReason in Southern Ontario! All members of our Paladin Team, while frozen, took great pride in being a part of the plunge.
Without a doubt, the whole team’s commitment to this cause will continue to grow every year!
