Vancouver, BC, February 3, 2020

Paladin Security is excited to announce the appointment of our new Executive Vice President (EVP) of Eastern Canada – Blair Davenport.

Blair has been in the security industry since 1999, where he has gained exceptional experience in all areas of the business, honed his leadership skills and proven to be an invaluable member of the Paladin Family.

Since joining Paladin Security in 2008; Blair has been responsible for developing and maintaining security programs in many vertical markets, which included: commercial, healthcare, large, and small-scale retail, manufacturing & distribution, education, aviation, residential and mobile security services.

“Blair is one of the hardest working people in our company, and he cares immensely about our people and the service we provide. He is intelligent, kind, a family man, and he always volunteers first when someone is required to step up. These traits have enabled him to take part in a truly remarkable promotion from within journey, and I am very excited to be able to work with him in the coming years as we continue to fulfill our goal of being the market leader in Canadian Security.” – Chad Kalyk, Executive Vice President, Paladin Security.

During Paladin’s 2019 annual Toronto branch lunch, former EVP Iain Morton announced Blair’s upcoming promotion, saying: “I would like to congratulate Blair for his journey so far. He has truly embodied Paladin’s core value of promotion from within, and I am honoured to have been his colleague and friend during his 11 years with Paladin. His evident success in the industry is a result of unparalleled dedication and hard work. I wish Blair all the best in his endeavors as the new EVP for Eastern Canada.” – Iain Morton, former EVP for Eastern Canada.

As the EVP of Eastern Canada, Blair will be responsible for maximizing Paladin’s operational performance and executing on our strategic plan and long-term goals. Blair will have a wide array of responsibilities ranging from client and stakeholder engagement, employee development and support, and aligning Paladin’s best practices across all of our Canadian branches.

Iain Morton will transition to our Paladin Technologies team, full time, as Executive Vice President for Eastern Canada. He looks forward to continuing to be a part of the Paladin family, while focusing on leading-edge security systems, data and audiovisual.

Commenting on his promotion Blair noted: “I am so excited and thankful to have this opportunity to continue my journey with Paladin. Since joining the Paladin family in 2008, I have had the opportunity to work with amazing people and assist with the growth of the company in Ontario. In this new role I hope to continue to help to push our growth across the country, while providing opportunities for our next generation of leaders.”

Blair graduated with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Public Policy from the University of Guelph, and a B.A. General with a focus on Business and Sociology from the University of Athabasca. In addition, he is certified in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) through Peel Regional Police and has taken numerous courses in emergency management and response through Emergency Management Ontario, the Justice Institute of British Columbia and The Canadian Emergency Management College. Blair currently is also a certified trainer of Basic Emergency Management through Emergency Management Ontario.

Please join us in congratulating Blair on his outstanding achievement!
