Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, CPTED, is based on a theory that through proper design and effective use of built environments, the incidence of crime and the fear of crime can diminish and the general quality of life can improve for a community. This course proves the principles for planning and designing safe communities and improving safety measures of existing structures.
