On March 1, 2017, the Manitoba Housing Authority became one of Paladin Security Brandon's newest clients expanding on the company's Infrastructure vertical.
Paladin is primarily responsible for the security of MHA's residences and apartment blocks. These units ensure that all maintenance problems as well as any other security issues are properly reported and attended to in an orderly fashion.
Manitoba Housing owns the Province's housing portfolio and provides subsidies to approximately 35,000 housing units under various housing programs. It also contributes to the development of suburban neighbourhoods and reinvests the profits from land development activities in areas of identified need in a manner that supports province-wide housing initiatives. MHA currently holds approximately 1,160 acres in its Land Inventory.
Paladin Security Brandon's Mobile unit will be responsible for a few thousand square feet of MHA's property ensuring the safety of its residences.
On May 1, 2017, Paladin Security Brandon also took over the Mobile checks for the City of Brandon, responsible for the Parks, Cemetery and Assiniboine River Trail System for nightly Mobile Patrols. These patrols are completed on a nightly basis and will be done by Paladin's Mobile division.
Paladin has re-acquired the contract following a 2-year hiatus; patrols will be provided with instant monitoring of security operations to clients.
The City of Brandon's population, according to the 2016 Census was 48,859 having an increase of around 6% from the 2011 Census. Brandon's population has kept up with the fastest growing cities in Canada.
