Canadian-owned security firm expands its leadership team to support rapid growth
October 19, 2017 – VANCOUVER, BC – Paladin Security Group announced the appointment of Tim Warner as Vice President, Finance effective October 16, 2017.
Warner joins Paladin Security from Goldcorp where, since 2013, he served as Director of Financial Planning, leading corporate development and operations finance, while improving the global portfolio. With over ten years in strategic finance, Warner is an expert in operational excellence, ensuring that people, systems, and processes are aligned, while executing on business strategies.
Ted Reid, the Paladin group of companies’ CFO, stated, “Through our rapid growth, we felt it was the ideal time to have dedicated financial leadership for our two main operating entities: Paladin Security Group Ltd and Paladin Technologies Inc. Chris Smiley will lead our finance team for Paladin Technologies and Tim will be focused on Paladin Security Group.”
Warner shared his enthusiasm for this next chapter, saying, “I am passionate about people. Finance is not only dealing with numbers, but ensuring your process is connected with the leaders and their various functions across the organization. Paladin has experienced an active growth period within the last two years. It has acquired six companies since the end of 2016, and through acquisition, Paladin formed PalAmerican Security, serving 16 states in the U.S.A. Warner’s experience will support future growth, building on history and financial strength to continue Paladin’s vision and dedication to change the way people think about security.
