Volunteers from our Toronto team recently took part in the City of Mississauga’s goal to plant 1 million trees by 2032.
The event was organized by a Paladin client, Oxford Properties, and our local security team couldn’t help but participate to this amazing cause. Executive Vice President Iain Morton, People and Culture Manager Sheena Alexander, Talent Sourcing Manager Sunpreet Dhillon, PRC Felix Choi, CSM Shannon Myles with the Square One security team were among those who participated. A total of 250 trees were planted by our participating team alone.
We are constantly amazed by our teams who continuously go above and beyond the call of duty, striving for excellence and helping make the world a safer and friendlier place!
One Million Trees Mississauga was launched to help conserve and enhance the City’s open spaces and forested areas for future generations to enjoy. Trees will be planted by City staff, partners and volunteers on public and private property. Residents who plant a tree on their private residential property can add it to the organization’s tree planting total and have it count towards its One Million Trees goal. Since the organization’s inception, a total of 303,172 trees have been planted thus far.
Everyone is encouraged to take part in this cause, if you reside locally, view the planting programs section to learn about opportunities for planting on public and private land.
