Paladin Security proudly supported the 2016 WinterPLAY Festival in Fort McMurray.
The annual celebration in Wood Buffalo is a milestone on the winter calendar, honouring the northern heritage and culture, as well as a love of sports and recreation in the great outdoors! It was a weekend filled with the warmest hearts, even during the coldest time of year.
Our dedicated security team worked on the project for four weeks. With set up, events, and preparation for over 5,000 people, it brought our people great satisfaction to see the weekend become a great success. Paladin had security guards on site 24/7 and managed access control until the event came to a close; parking enforcement support was executed as needed.
Client service was recognized by Arndis Bildfell, Community Strategies Coordinator, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, as she shared, “Thank you for your hard work and support at WinterPLAY. I am grateful to be a part of such a collaborative and determined community. The days leading into WinterPLAY created and fostered strong working relationships that contributed to the success of another great event!”
Paladin Security in Fort McMurray also sponsored the festival’s ice rink, which hosted a children’s hockey tournament (as pictured below). When asked about the event and sponsorship, Matthew Garcin, Client Service Manager, Paladin Security shared, “We were so excited about the opportunity to serve WinterPLAY. This event brought the community together in a great way. Times are challenging right now in Fort McMurray, but events like WinterPLAY showcase the true resilience of the communities; we were truly grateful to be involved.”
