In 2007, two Nova Scotia students decided to take action after witnessing a younger student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. The students bought 50 pink t-shirts and encouraged schoolmates to wear them and send a powerful message of solidarity to the bully. CKNW Orphans’ Fund was inspired by the story and since 2008, have raised more than $1.2 million for anti-bullying programs with the sales of Pink Shirt Day T-Shirts.
The Paladin culture is one of hard work, support, commitment, and growth. We are firmly committed to a positive, professional, and safe working environment in which all people have the right to be treated with respect and dignity. It is because of our firm commitment to our people that we are excited to support the initiatives of Pink Shirt Day 2016.
Pink Shirt Day teaches us that we are all worthy of kindness, respect and acceptance at home, in school, online, and in the workplace. We are thrilled to be teaming up with incredible organizations like Paladin Security this February 24th to spread kindness and support anti-bullying programs.
