Leading Healthcare Security From Experience

Johnny Boykins has flourished during his career with PalAmerican. Currently, he's the Regional Director of Operations, but he has experience in the field, working as security officer in the past. Recently, Johnny put that experience to use when he jumped in to support his Healthcare Security team and be part of the action - but it wasn't as easy as he thought!

In this episode, Johnny discusses what he learned from working the 2nd and 3rd shift, as well as what changes he made in order to help support the officers better. He also talked about:

  • The full scope of working in healthcare security
  • How to build a team-driven work environment and community
  • Why all healthcare security leaders need to spend time on the front line

Johnny shared his experience in an article published in IAHSS' Journal of Healthcare Protection Management. Get ready to be inspired by his story and learn from his experience! He also wrote a blog article about it, which you can read here.
